Medikamentozā terapija

Drug treatment

Venotropics are drugs improving the inner layer in the wall of the vein and the function of the vein valves, slightly toning the vein and reducing complaints caused by vein diseases.

This therapy is used in case of venous complaints and diseases at an early stage or in combination with other techniques.

DRUG TREATMENT

The use of venotropics has a pronounced good effect if your legs feel heavy after prolonged work in a standing or sitting position, or if you know you are going on a long bus or plane trip. They should certainly be combined with active movements and, if necessary, with compression stockings.

If the complaints are severe, and varicose veins are visible, drug therapy moves to the background, and preference is given to compression therapy, varicose vein treatment with various techniques – laser surgery, radiofrequency surgery, steam microimpulse surgery, bioadhesive surgery and sclerotherapy of isolated branches, as no medication will make a dilated varicose vein healthy.

External gels and ointments are not absorbed deeply into the tissues. They mostly contain a small addition of alcohol, so they have a pleasant cooling effect that gives relief to the patient. Care should be taken with prolonged application of external drugs, as they may cause additional skin irritation.
